Haryana Judicial Services
- Phase 1 - Prelims examination is of objective type.
- Phase 2 - Mains exam is of written type.
- Phase 3 – Interview
Negative marking of 1.5 will be deducted in the prelims examination.
PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
You will face the preliminary exam first which is an objective test of 125 Questions and each question shall carry 4 Marks. The question will comprise of objective type questions from all the below mentioned acts in the mains syllabus
PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION
The exam is consists of five papers:PAPER I – CIVIL LAW I (200 Marks)
You will be asked a question based on the following:
- Code of Civil Procedure
- Indian Contract Act
- Indian Partnership Act
- Sales of Goods Act
- Specific Relief Act
- Indian Evidence Act
- Punjab Courts Act
- Haryana Urban (Control of Rent & Eviction)Act,1973.
PAPER II – CIVIL LAW II (200 MARKS)
You will be asked a question based on the following:
- Hindu Law
- Mohammedan Law (Study the customary law of Haryana and Punjab also)
- Law of Registration
- Limitation Act
PAPER III – CRIMINAL LAW(200 Marks)
You will be asked a question based on the following:
- Indian Penal Code
- Criminal Procedure Code
- Indian Evidence Act
SECTION IV: ENGLISH
- Essay (100 Marks)
- Precis Writing (25 Marks)
- Comprehension (25 Marks)
- Corrections (25 Marks)
- Words & Phrases (25 Marks)
PAPER V: LANGUAGE HINDI (100 MARKS)
Standard of Hindi paper shall be that of matriculation examination of Haryana Board. It shall comprise of:
- Translation of English passage into Hindi.(20 MARKS)
- गद्यांशऔरपद्यांश- कोहिंदीमें व्याख्या(30 MARKS)
- Hindi Essay, Idioms and Corrections(50 MARKS)
