Punjab Judicial Services
- Phase 1 - Prelims examination is of objective type.
- Phase 2 - Mains exam is of written type.
- Phase 3 – Interview
Negative marking of 1.5 will be deducted in the prelims examination.
PHASE 1 – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
You will face the preliminary exam first which is an objective test of 125 Questions and each question shall carry 4 Marks. The syllabus for the preliminary examination shall be the same as provided for Paper – I to IV for the Main examination.
The candidates shall be expected to have a general and basic overview of the main subjects and also the ability to answer the questions on current events of national and international importance, Indian legal and Constitutional history and governance.
PHASE 2 – MAINS EXAMINATION

PAPER III – CRIMINAL LAW (200 MARKS)

- Indian Evidence Act
PAPER IV – ENGLISH (200 MARKS)
- English Essay (1000 – 1100 words)
- Precis Writing
- Words & Phrases (make sentences of given words and phrases)
- Comprehension
- Corrections
PAPER V – LANGUAGE (150 MARKS)
- Punjabi language in Gurumukhi script.
